More than 661 people reported feeling or hearing a 4.9-magnitude earthquake in Adelaide after it struck off the coast of South Australia on Tuesday morning.
Geoscience Australia recorded the tremor at 7.48am local time, with the epicentre south of Victor Harbor and west of Kingston South East.
Residents contacted local radio stations to describe the impact of the earthquake, including Kate from Reynella in Adelaide’s south.
“I just made a cup of coffee and hopped back into bed and then the whole bed moved and my coffee split,” she told 891 ABC Adelaide.
