Arsenal are considering a January move for Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi as they assess their attacking options, according to reports in the Sun.
The 22-year-old has made an impressive start to the season, scoring nine goals in his first 11 matches. That follows a return of 23 goals in all competitions last term.
Tresoldi’s form has attracted attention as Arsenal weigh whether to strengthen their forward line when the transfer window reopens. The Germany Under-21 international is also understood to have been monitored by Manchester United and Chelsea.
Arsenal assess attacking options
Arsenal have won 10 of their first 11 matches in all competitions and began the campaign strongly. However, concerns remain about the threat they pose in the final third, an issue that was present even during last season’s Premier League title-winning campaign.
The north London club attempted to address that area during the summer but missed out on high-profile targets including Vinicius Junior, Morgan Rogers and Julian Alvarez.
Kai Havertz has started the current season well, while Viktor Gyokeres has fallen out of favour. Arsenal’s needs in attack could become clearer between now and January before any decision is made on whether to pursue Tresoldi.
The Gunners already conducted business with Club Brugge during the summer, signing Greek winger Christos Tzolis. That previous deal could provide a basis for further discussions over Tresoldi, although there is no indication that an agreement is close.
Arsenal may prefer a more established name with experience at the highest level, but Tresoldi’s early-season form has placed him firmly among the young forwards being considered for investment.
