Hansi Flick remained positive after Barcelona’s 4-2 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes, describing the Champions League contest as a high-level test despite his side’s loss.
Barcelona produced an entertaining performance but were ultimately overcome by PSG, who found another gear in the second half as their opponents began to tire. Flick acknowledged that his team had made too many errors in possession, while insisting there were plenty of encouraging signs.

“I think it was a fantastic game from both teams. I think we made a few too many mistakes in possession,” Flick said after the match.
“We have to analyse the game, but I also saw a lot of great things. It was a great test for us today. We’ve seen what things we need to do better, and that’s what we’ll do.”
Flick said the match had shown Barcelona the areas requiring further work, while praising the quality of the performance overall.
“Barcelona were also great. This was a top, top level match. I am so happy. I saw a lot of things good from my team, but I saw also things that we can make better, so we have to work on that.”
PSG manager Luis Enrique was also pleased with his side’s display, particularly their defending. “The defending from us was fantastic. We were incredible. The game was absolutely top,” he said.
PSG’s victory came despite some uncertain moments at the back, while injuries picked up during the second half provided an area of concern for the French side.
