Tyler Herro’s custody dispute has intensified after Katya Henry, the mother of the NBA star’s two children, accused him of sending “aggressive” and “inappropriate” messages.
In court documents, Ms Henry asked for all communication with the Milwaukee Bucks guard to take place through a court-approved messaging application. She claims Mr Herro has insisted that discussions about their children should instead be conducted through his mother.
Ms Henry alleges that when she tries to discuss the children directly with Mr Herro, he typically responds in an “aggressive, inappropriate and emotionally charged manner”.
She also claims that he breached a court order requiring them to communicate respectfully, alleging that some of his texts were “incredibly disrespectful and far from courteous or formal”.

Ms Henry says their difficulties have been “compounded” by Mr Herro’s recent move from the Miami Heat to the Milwaukee Bucks. He now lives in Milwaukee, while she remains in Miami.
According to her court filing, Mr Herro is “suddenly requesting increased contact and access” that would require lengthy air travel and involve several logistical arrangements.
She is asking the court to require Mr Herro to keep future messages appropriate and to direct both parents to use the approved messaging platform.
Ms Henry filed for custody and support this year after the couple split in early 2025. She has sought primary custody of the children and asked for safeguards to be attached to Mr Herro’s visits, claiming she has cared for them for most of the time since the separation.
Mr Herro has denied her claim that restrictions should be placed on his custody.
