An Australian father and his two children have been found dead in Bali in a suspected murder-suicide, police said.
Damien John Shaw, 56, and his Indonesian-born son, aged six, and daughter, aged four, were discovered in a bungalow in Kuta at about 8.30am on Sunday local time.
Hotel staff entered the room after Shaw’s wife, who had recently travelled to Jakarta, asked them to check on him. She had heard the children crying during a phone call and later told police she heard her daughter say: “Stop daddy.”
Workers found all three family members dead before alerting police. The circumstances remain under investigation.
An autopsy will be carried out as part of the inquiry.
