Georgia Cook said the exchange took place over Thai food in Kirribilli on May 29, 2023, after she had begun distancing herself from Lamarre-Condon’s repeated conversations about his relationship with Jesse Baird. Ms Cook told the New South Wales Supreme Court that Lamarre-Condon sat down and asked: “What would you do if I told you I’d killed someone?” “I froze. He said, ‘Would you help me hide the body?’. I…
Donald Trump’s stock trades reached 1,156 transactions in July – almost 40 times the number disclosed by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent for the whole of 2025. The transactions, made through accounts in the president’s name, included 440 purchases and 716 sales, according to a filing with the Office of Government Ethics (OGE). Their combined value was estimated at between $79 million and $270 million, although the filing did not state the precise value of each trade. By comparison, Bessent reported 29 transactions during 2025. All were sales, including disposals of interests connected to Key Square, the hedge fund he founded…
Britney Spears’s 2001 MTV Video Music Awards performance remains one of the ceremony’s most memorable moments, 25 years after the singer took to the stage with a giant yellow snake. Spears was 19 and at the height of her early career when she appeared at the event in New York City. Before the performance, she drew attention in a revealing sheer dress, a look that was considered particularly daring at the time. She also posed for behind-the-scenes photographs with Justin Timberlake and Jennifer Lopez, as anticipation built around her appearance at the awards. Spears then emerged from a lion’s cage…

The court heard Mr Stewart died in hospital from three gunshot wounds to his back and thigh after Bickle fired 10 shots into the area during the confrontation. Mr Stewart had gone to Wilson-Knight’s home with about 10 other men in search…
A&E overcrowding may be linked to around 550 deaths a week across the UK, a study of more than 19,000 hospital patients suggests. Researchers found that the risk of dying within 28 days increased by 1 per cent for every 10 per cent rise in emergency department occupancy. The findings were presented at the European Emergency Medicine Congress in France. The review covered 134 A&E departments, which had an average occupancy rate of 175 per cent. This meant they were treating almost twice as many patients as they were designed to accommodate. Dr Ryan McHenry, an emergency medicine doctor in…

The scheme is optional, with players able to access whichever elements they need. Chelsea said the aim is to provide information and support around fertility and wider gynaecological health, rather than prescribe a particular…
