Cobb County Superior Court Judge Tyler Browning issued a stay late on Tuesday to allow a hearing under the state’s new Survivor Justice Act. The law allows some people convicted of capital offences before 1 July 2025 to seek resentencing…

Her comments mark a break with the president over the Iran war and its impact on fuel prices.

Jawahar pleaded guilty to three counts of wire fraud. Prosecutors said he operated Swiftarc Capital LLC and directed almost all of his clients’ money into a single investment in Philip Morris Pakistan. When that investment failed, Jawahar allegedly misled investors about the performance…

Government spending on influencers has reached £2.3 million since the election, with 11 Whitehall departments and major public bodies paying online content creators and agencies to promote policies and services. The campaigns have included model Daisy Lowe promoting heat pumps and reality television personality Gemma Collins discussing vocational education. Ministers say social media platforms and public figures are increasingly necessary to reach audiences. But Mike Wood, the shadow Cabinet Office minister, accused Labour of using public money to compensate for its shortcomings. “The Government is spending hundreds of thousands of pounds of taxpayers’ money on influencers in a feeble attempt…

It will focus on directing finance towards housing developments, supporting pro-housing policy changes, improving construction technology and removing obstacles that prevent projects from getting under way. Airbnb chief executive Brian Chesky acknowledged criticism that the company has reduced the supply of long-term homes…
