Billy Evans appears to have finally seen You Can See Everything, after previously saying he had not watched the documentary about his partner, Elizabeth Holmes.
Evans was reportedly interviewed after a private screening on Friday October 16 by Bryan Johnson, founder of Immortals. The conversation was off the record, meaning details of his reaction to the finished film have not been disclosed.
Johnson later described the documentary as “a masterpiece” and said Evans had been given the opportunity to defend himself after what he described as a tough treatment by Fielder.
Billy Evans had not seen the film before its release
Speaking on the All-In Podcast shortly before the documentary reached cinemas, Evans said he had not yet watched it.
“I haven’t seen it. I might think this is the dumbest thing I have ever done,” he said.
Evans added that he was concerned about the film, but said: “I have been through so many intense, surreal experiences that it takes a bit to raise my blood pressure. With this there’s certainly concern but it’s ultimately our decision.”
He had also acknowledged the intensity of the trailer, saying Holmes “looks insane” in it. “Yeah, it’s pretty intense. Well, especially the music,” he added.
Following the private screening, Johnson said the people he spoke to had differing reactions, with some arriving convinced that Holmes was guilty and leaving uncertain about what they had seen.
He wrote that Evans had been “magnanimous in conversation” and had declined opportunities to “strike back”, adding that the documentary had opened what would likely become a continuing saga.
Evans responded publicly to Johnson, thanking him for making the trip and for handling their interview carefully.
“I really admire you Bryan, you are brave and selfless and I’m honored to know you,” Evans wrote. “When the world is against you and the pain is so real it means so much to have people like you show such kindness.”
