Brandi Glanville has said an ultrasound detected something “alive and moving” in the left side of her face as she continues to undergo intensive treatment for a range of conditions she attributes to a long-running facial health battle.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 53, said doctors had diagnosed her with highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, coccidioidomycosis, also known as Valley fever, Demodex dermatitis and mononucleosis.
Glanville made the claims in a series of Instagram updates shared on September 6 and 7. She said an MRI showed the problem was concentrated on the left side of her face before a subsequent ultrasound produced the alarming finding.
“The technician said that there was something alive in my face and that it was moving and she’d never seen anything like it,” she said. Glanville added that the radiologist agreed the scan showed something unusual.
She also said doctors had identified a “fungal ball” in her face which needed to be removed, while she was considering the removal of metal from old dental work and her breast implants.
Glanville said she was facing between four and six months of daily intravenous treatment, as well as further surgery. She claimed that the treatment had so far brought “very little improvement”.
“I just want this s**t out of my body. I want my health back. I want my life back. I want to feel like me again,” she said.

In another video, Glanville offered a glimpse into the demanding routine she said now occupies much of her day. She said she was receiving intravenous treatment for about 18 hours daily, including an overnight infusion of imipenem, an antibiotic used to treat serious bacterial infections.
She explained that she had learned to prepare one of the infusions herself, while a nurse visited her home for four hours each evening to administer another treatment.
“I know I’m so skinny right now,” Glanville said. “I can’t eat because the things I do decrease my food. I feel like death. I look like death.”
She said the treatment schedule involved extensive preparation and had left her largely confined to her home, apart from recording her podcast. She described the videos as the first time she had shown followers what her life had been like “behind closed doors”.
Glanville has been seeking answers for more than three years and has previously said she spent more than six figures on consultations and treatments. She has also claimed that some doctors dismissed her symptoms as nothing more than scar tissue.
Earlier this year, she said doctors had found a benign tumour in a lymph node in her face, which she believed could be linked to the problems she had been experiencing. There has been no independent medical confirmation of the various diagnoses or of the ultrasound findings described by Glanville.
Despite her ongoing treatment, she is expected to appear in the forthcoming fifth season of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, alongside Candace Cameron Bure, Collin Gosselin, David Charvet and former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills castmate Mauricio Umansky.
