Online personality Clavicular has been accused of failing to pay rent and leaving a £5.5 million California mansion in disrepair after using it to host a “looksmaxxing” camp.
The 20-year-old influencer, whose real name is Braden Peters, rented the Encino property from The Maimon Group for $53,000 (£42,000) a month under a lease signed in September.
The landlord alleges that Peters breached the agreement by failing to make monthly payments and by holding large parties at the home. The lease reportedly limited gatherings to no more than six guests.
Court documents describe an alleged party on October 11 at which attendees were said to have fought on the stairs and outside the property, thrown one another into the swimming pool and sprayed water inside the house.
Guests were also accused of vomiting indoors, spilling drinks in the pool, covering the mansion with silly string and using “fart spray”. The landlord further alleges that Peters brought a horse on to the property.
The Maimon Group said it had not yet filed a lawsuit but was “actively working through the process”.
A representative for Peters denied that an official civil lawsuit had been filed and disputed claims that he owed money connected with the camp.
“He will respond to the fullest extent of the law once he is actually served with a suit. Any allegation that he does not meet his obligations is false,” the representative said.
Peters runs the Looksmaxxing Camp with fellow creator Hexumlite. The retreat is aimed at men seeking to improve their appearance and dating prospects, with applicants reportedly charged $5,000 to attend.
Clips shared from the camp showed Peters smoking a cigar while advising participants on dating and clothing. One former camper said he had attended to learn more about looksmaxxing and left seeking $40,000 for facial surgery.
A livestream clip also appeared to show a member of the landlord’s team confronting Peters at the mansion. Peters questioned whether the man worked for The Maimon Group and joked that he could not join the camp because of a “no sub-humans rule”.
The man accused Peters of a “breach of contract” and criticised his team for recording the exchange.
