A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after a crash on Highway 212 in Chaska, Minnesota, sent him and another driver to hospital.
Minnesota State Patrol troopers were called to the collision near Audubon Road shortly before 3.50am on Saturday, 12 September.
Investigators said a Nissan Rogue and an Audi S5 were travelling westbound in the left-hand lane when the Audi struck the Nissan from behind. The Nissan entered the central reservation, rolled several times and came to rest in the eastbound carriageway.
The Nissan’s driver, a 28-year-old man from Minneapolis, was taken to hospital with injuries. The Audi driver, who is from Chaska, was also treated in hospital after being arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
The extent of either man’s injuries has not been disclosed. The investigation remains ongoing.
