French education protests reflect growing anger among students over President Emmanuel Macron’s policies, according to student union spokesperson Alice Cohen-Morzadec.
Ms Cohen-Morzadec said the demonstrations were an expression of mounting social discontent, with students facing poverty and housing insecurity.
She linked the unrest to policies under Mr Macron’s presidency, arguing that they had left many students struggling to meet their basic needs.
The protests have therefore become a focus for wider student resentment in France, alongside concerns about the financial pressures affecting those in education.
