Holly Willoughby made a deliberately low-key entrance at the National Television Awards on Tuesday night, arriving on the red carpet after her former This Morning colleagues had already taken their places at London’s O2 Arena.
The 45-year-old presenter, who once attended the ceremony alongside Phillip Schofield, appeared separately from current hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard as the ITV programme went on to win Best Daytime Show.
Willoughby arrived in a black strapless gown decorated with silver diamantes, completing the look with understated jewellery and glamorous make-up.
She later took to the stage to present the Authored Documentary award, which was won by the BBC’s Our Girls: The Southport Families.
The 2026 NTAs were held at the O2 on Tuesday, September 8, with comedian Joel Dommett returning to host for a sixth consecutive year. The ceremony is voted for entirely by the public. This Morning’s victory marked a return to the top of the daytime category after the programme lost the award to The Repair Shop in 2023. The show had previously enjoyed a long run of success at the NTAs before that defeat. Willoughby left This Morning in October 2023 after police warned that former security guard Gavin Plumb had been planning to kidnap, rape and murder her. Plumb was later convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 15 years. Her departure also followed the scandal surrounding Schofield, who admitted lying about a relationship with a younger former colleague.
Willoughby has since returned to the public eye with Together, a lifestyle and conversation series released on YouTube and other digital platforms. The programme launched its first episode on July 28 and has featured guests including Stanley Tucci, Emma Bunton and Katherine Ryan.
