Braveone Jones was arrested after a police raid at rapper Trippie Redd’s South Florida home and is facing two attempted murder charges over an alleged shooting at a Miami restaurant, an arrest warrant says.
Police allege Jones opened fire during a confrontation at Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen on 15 September, injuring two men. One of the alleged victims was shot in the neck, while the other was reportedly hit in the back.
Officers called to the restaurant found a white cross-body bag covered in blood, according to the warrant. They later reviewed security footage which allegedly showed Jones wearing a similar bag as he entered the venue with Trippie Redd.
The footage is said to show Trippie becoming involved in a fight with one of the men. Police allege Jones then took a gun from the bag and fired before the group fled the restaurant.
One alleged victim told officers he had been watching a football game when his cousin became involved in a confrontation with Trippie. He said he tried to intervene but was attacked by two unidentified men.
The man said the dispute escalated and that he heard gunshots while trying to leave the area, before being shot in the neck.
Jones, who is also known as BalloutDaDon, was taken into custody during the raid at Trippie’s home earlier this week. The allegations have not been tested in court.
