Katie Price has been accused of commandeering daughter Princess Andre’s red-carpet appearance at the National Television Awards after unexpectedly joining the teenager and her brother Junior at London’s O2 Arena.
Princess, 19, and Junior, 21, had reportedly been due to promote their ITVX reality series, The Princess Diaries, separately when Price arrived at the event on Tuesday evening, 8 September.
A source close to Princess claimed the siblings had already begun speaking to reporters when Price approached them for photographs.
“She and Junior had no choice. Katie walked straight on to the red carpet to stand with her and hijacked her big moment,” the source said.
An onlooker said Price arrived alone and joined the pair while they were still making their way along the carpet.
“Princess and Junior had an escort up the carpet, it had all been organised, and they spent ages speaking to the press individually,” the onlooker said. “Katie skipped out all the press and strode straight over to them and grabbed them for a picture.”
Princess wore a shimmering pale-blue gown for the National Television Awards, while Price opted for a white long-sleeved shirt, lace shorts, black tights and heels. Junior also posed alongside his sister before Price joined them.
The appearance came after Price, 48, reportedly ended her marriage to Lee Andrews. It was her first major public appearance since the split.
Earlier that day, Price said on social media that she had travelled to Brussels for further cosmetic surgery after one breast remained slightly larger than the other. She also showed bruising around one eye following facial filler treatment.
Despite the swelling and bandages, Price said she intended to attend the awards ceremony. She later appeared on the red carpet with heavy eye make-up, slicked-back hair and large earrings.
The Princess Diaries returns on ITVX
The National Television Awards appearance came as Princess promotes further episodes of The Princess Diaries, which follows her life, career plans and family relationships.
ITV has confirmed that the programme will return with two series in 2026. The first series attracted one million consolidated viewers for its launch episode and has been streamed more than six million times, according to the broadcaster.
Price did not appear in the first series, although she was included in a WhatsApp voice note. She has since featured in the latest run, which is available on ITVX, alongside Princess and Junior.
The siblings are Price’s children with singer and television personality Peter Andre. The pair have previously been said to find aspects of their mother’s highly publicised personal life difficult, while continuing to support her.
