Macklemore’s removal from Ed Sheeran’s tour has sparked a public dispute involving the rapper, Sheeran and Robert Kraft, with lawyers Mark Geragos and Harvey Levin taking opposing positions over who was at fault.
Macklemore was dropped from the tour after making pro-Palestine remarks during a concert in New Jersey, despite being told not to do so.
He later said in an Instagram statement that Sheeran had told him during a phone call that Kraft wanted him removed from the tour. Kraft responded by saying the rapper had crossed a line.
Other NFL owners reportedly supported Kraft’s decision behind the scenes, according to the discussion.
Levin defended Kraft, arguing that he was entitled to disinvite Macklemore from his home and accusing the rapper of having an anti-Semitic history. Those claims were presented as part of the debate over the incident.
Geragos took the opposing view, describing Kraft as the wrongdoer and accusing him of working with other billionaire team owners to silence Macklemore.
The dispute was examined during a “Two Angry Men” face-off between Geragos and Levin, centred on whether Macklemore or Robert Kraft should be regarded as the “bad guy”.
