A 37-year-old man has been flown to hospital in a serious condition after being shot in the hand and torso outside a home at Berkeley Vale on the New South Wales Central Coast.
Emergency services were called to Lakedge Avenue shortly after 6.15am on Wednesday, where NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man for multiple injuries before he was airlifted to hospital.
NSW Police have launched an investigation and are searching for those responsible for the alleged attack. Officers are also seeking the driver of a GWM four-wheel-drive utility vehicle fitted with roof racks and a roll bar, which was seen in the area around the time of the shooting.
Police have not confirmed whether the incident is connected to organised crime. It comes amid heightened concern over a series of shootings in Sydney linked to suspected gang conflicts, including two apparent mistaken-identity attacks last week.
Investigations into the Berkeley Vale shooting remain ongoing.
