A man has been shot dead at a public park in Thomastown, Melbourne, with police searching for the gunman.
Emergency services were called to Victoria Drive shortly after 7.30pm on Sunday, 6 September, following reports of a shooting. Homicide Squad detectives are investigating at the scene.
Police said officers and paramedics attempted to revive the victim, who had not been formally identified, but he was declared dead at the scene.
The shooter is believed to have fled following the attack. No arrests have been made, and detectives are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the killing.
