The Celebrity Traitors is set to return on 23 September, after former contestant Joe Marler appeared to disclose the launch date during a live podcast recording with broadcaster Richard Osman.
The date emerged during a performance of The Rest Is Entertainment at London’s Southbank Centre, where Osman was joined by co-host Marina Hyde and Marler, who featured in the first series of the BBC reality competition.
Marler raised the subject of the next series, prompting Osman to acknowledge that the date was under embargo before referring to 23 September again. The exchange was reported by The Guardian and The Independent.
Osman also suggested that the forthcoming series had been described as “quite intense”, while Marler indicated that the new contestants appeared more focused on the game from the outset.
The Celebrity Traitors first aired in 2025, with famous contestants competing in the Scottish Highlands while attempting to identify the Traitors among them. The BBC has yet to make a formal announcement of the reported 23 September launch date.
