Maya Jama hosted a star-studded Halloween party in Shoreditch on Saturday night, appearing almost unrecognisable as Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah while fellow Celebrity Traitors contestant King Kenny attended in an orange jumpsuit.
The presenter, 32, held the celebration at 83 Rivington Street, inviting castmates from the BBC series just a day after its nail-biting finale aired.
Jama’s costume featured a running vest and shorts, a Union Jack draped around her shoulders, gold medals and a bald cap. She said she had wanted to pay tribute to Farah, describing him as an “Olympic champ and all round legend”.
Farah responded to photographs shared by Jama by writing that he “thought that was me”. Jama also thanked him for sending his Olympic outfit and real medals for the costume.
Videos posted from the event showed Jama dancing with friends as guests filled the venue. Traitors winner Sebastian Croft was among those attending, while fellow contestant Hannah Fry dressed as the programme’s presenter, Claudia Winkleman.
Comedian Katherine Ryan copied one of Jama’s looks from the castle, arriving hand in hand with her husband Bobby. Shawn Mendes and Bruna Marquezine also made an appearance, alongside Love Island stars Tyrique Hyde and Samie Elishi.
King Kenny attends Maya Jama’s Halloween party
Kenny, 29, arrived after being seen leaving Jama’s London flat earlier on Saturday morning. The YouTuber and boxer had reportedly stayed at her home for two nights before travelling to appear on Romesh’s Celebrity Traitors Reunion on BBC Radio 2.
He had also been seen leaving the property the previous day to attend filming for Celebrity Traitors Uncloaked, before returning to watch the series finale.
The pair prompted romance speculation during the BBC One show, with viewers commenting on their chemistry, lingering looks and flirtatious exchanges in the castle. Both were separately banished as Traitors during the final stages of the competition.
However, people close to Jama have denied that the pair are romantically involved, insisting they are simply good friends. One source said Kenny had been sleeping on the sofa and that “romance has not and is not on the cards”.
The source added that Jama had friends staying with her and that Kenny had been spending time with the group as they watched the final and prepared their Halloween costumes.
During the programme, Kenny had questioned whether Jama might be a Traitor, saying: “If Maya is a Traitor, I will never look at her in the same way.” Romesh Ranganathan replied: “Well, first of all, I don’t believe that for a second.”
Kenny ultimately voted to banish Jama during Friday’s final, describing the decision as “so difficult” but saying it was his only logical attempt to secure a solo victory as the last remaining Traitor.
Romesh and Sebastian were eventually crowned winners after banishing both Jama and Kenny. The final drew 11.2 million viewers, while Jama missed the spin-off show because of overlapping filming commitments.
Jama is currently filming the third series of Guy Ritchie’s drama The Gentlemen. She split from Manchester City footballer Ruben Dias in May after 18 months together.
