A man has been taken to hospital after being shot in the chest on Deer Timbers Trail in Atascocita, Texas, on Sunday afternoon.
Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office deputies are investigating the incident, which happened near Timber Forest Drive, north of FM 1960.
A heavy police presence remained in the area as investigators examined the scene. Officials asked members of the public to avoid Deer Timbers Trail while the inquiry continued.
The man’s condition has not been released. Authorities have not announced any possible suspect or provided further details about what led to the shooting.
