More than 70,000 pints of Guinness were stolen after thieves took two lorries and their trailers from a depot in Runcorn, Cheshire.
Police said the haul comprised more than 800 barrels of the stout, worth about £115,000, which had been prepared for delivery to pubs. Including the two trailers, the total value of the stolen property is estimated at approximately £205,000.
The first lorry entered an industrial estate off Aston Lane at about 7.45pm on Monday, 31 August, before being connected to a trailer loaded with Guinness. It left the site at 7.55pm, travelling towards the Mersey Gateway Bridge.
A second lorry arrived at 9.12pm and was attached to another Guinness-filled trailer. It departed at about 9.30pm in the direction of Rainhill and Watkinson Way, according to Cheshire Constabulary.
The trailers are described as white, tri-axle curtainsiders bearing GXO branding on their curtains and rear doors.
Both lorries are believed to have been driven by men. The driver of the first vehicle was described as white, with a short dark beard and wearing a beanie hat, while the second man was thought to have been wearing a cap.
Diageo, which owns Guinness, operates a packaging warehouse at the Whitehouse Industrial Estate on Aston Lane.
Cheshire Constabulary is appealing for witnesses, particularly anyone who saw the lorries in the area or has dashcam, CCTV or video-doorbell footage from the relevant times.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Cheshire Police online or by calling 101, quoting incident reference IML-2408641. Officers said they were seeking the full recovery of the Guinness, trailers and other stolen items.
