An e-bike rider died after crashing into a parked SUV in Philadelphia late on Friday night, police said.
The collision happened at about 11.54pm on September 11 on the 6700 block of Stenton Avenue, in the city’s 14th District.
Investigators said the man was travelling south on a black e-bike when he struck the rear of an unoccupied blue 2012 Honda CR-V. The vehicle was legally parked at the time.
The rider suffered severe head injuries and was taken by Medic 16 to Einstein Medical Center. He was pronounced dead at 12.53am on Saturday, September 12.
Police have not released his identity. No one was inside the Honda when it was hit.
The Philadelphia Police Department’s Crash Investigation Division is continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
