Two brothers accused of stealing Ford trucks and a U-Haul rental in the Renton Highlands area over a six-month period have been arrested and remain in jail.
King County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 37-year-old Jerad Bruce on 15 June. His younger brother, Landon Bruce, was also detained after allegedly running from deputies and being tracked down by police dog Duke.
The arrests followed an investigation into a series of vehicle thefts in and around Renton, Washington. The brothers are accused of targeting Ford trucks as well as a U-Haul vehicle.
Deputies used K-9 Duke to help locate Landon after he tried to flee. The King County Sheriff’s Office says its police dogs are trained to track suspects and search for evidence.
Both men are being held while the allegations are dealt with through the court process. Neither has been convicted, and details of any eventual charges were not immediately available.
