Sam Nivola is dating actress Iris Apatow, with the couple having been in a relationship since 2024.
Nivola, 23, is currently starring in the television series Phony!, playing a teenager who wakes in hospital after a car accident and begins to suspect that the woman he believes is his mother may not be his real mother.
Apatow, 24, is also the child of well-known film industry figures: actress Leslie Mann and filmmaker Judd Apatow.
The pair first met through their mutual friend Isa Barrett at a bar in London, Nivola said in an interview with Teen Vogue in 2025. He initially tried to pursue Apatow, but she was in a relationship at the time.
Several months later, after Apatow’s relationship had ended, Nivola said he had the opportunity to try again. The couple now live together in New York City.
“I’m so in love, and she’s so amazing,” Nivola said. He added that their careers as actors gave them periods of time apart, which he described as “really healthy” and something that made returning home to one another more exciting.
Apatow first appeared on Nivola’s Instagram in a behind-the-scenes photograph from The White Lotus in April 2024. She shared a picture of him on her own account the following month.
The couple made their first public appearance together in October 2024 at the reopening of Burberry’s East 57th Street flagship store in New York. They have since attended events including the season three premiere of The White Lotus, the 2026 Actor Awards and a Dior Homme fashion show in Paris.
Nivola’s other credits include White Noise, Eileen, Maestro, Driver’s Ed and the television series The Perfect Couple.
