Daybreaker San Francisco is preparing to host an alcohol-free Halloween morning dance party beneath the redwoods at Transamerica Pyramid Center Redwood Park on Sunday, October 25.
Mustafa Khan, the event’s founder and lead producer, appeared on KTVU to preview the gathering, which will combine spooky yoga, live music and dancing in a sober daytime setting.
The event is scheduled to run from 10am to 1pm, beginning with a yoga session before the dance floor opens. Organisers have also listed a surprise performance towards the end of the programme.
Guests are being encouraged to attend in Halloween costumes, with Daybreaker describing the event as suitable for people coming alone, with friends, neighbours or children. Coffee and alcohol-free drinks will be available alongside sets from DJs and live musicians.

The San Francisco gathering forms part of Daybreaker’s wider sober daytime dance movement, which has staged events in cities around the world for more than 13 years, according to the organisation.
Organisers say the format is intended to offer socialising and dancing without the late-night club setting or alcohol traditionally associated with nightlife. Sunday’s event will take place at the newly renovated Redwood Park, beneath the trees surrounding the Transamerica Pyramid.
