President Trump is to give his first sit-down interview since Democrats’ midterm victories in an edition of 60 Minutes recorded at the White House.
Ross Douthat interviewed Mr Trump on Friday, days after Democrats were projected to have won control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
The party gained more than 40 House seats, although more than two dozen races remained uncalled. Democrats also picked up seven Senate seats, with contests in Mississippi and Alaska still too close to call.
Mr Douthat questioned the president about the Republican losses, potential congressional investigations, the wars in Iran and Ukraine, and the economy.
The interview is due to air on 60 Minutes on Sunday at 7pm ET/PT on CBS and Paramount+. An extended version is also scheduled to be released on YouTube on Sunday night.
