Four people, including two Hernando County Fire Rescue crew members, were taken to hospital after an emergency response vehicle crashed at a major intersection in Florida on Saturday afternoon.
The unit was travelling with its lights and sirens activated while responding to a cardiac arrest call when it collided at the junction of Cortez Boulevard and Barclay Avenue in Hernando County.
Both crew members inside the fire rescue vehicle were among those injured. All four people suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening, according to Hernando County Fire Rescue.
Officials have not released details of the other vehicles involved or said what led to the collision.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
