Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s 15-year-old son could face strict restrictions and “close, close monitoring” if a judge grants him bond in his sexual assault case, a former prosecutor has said.
Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr remains in custody in Georgia after being arrested in Alpharetta on 17 August over allegations involving a 15-year-old female classmate. He has denied the claims.
Speaking to Page Six, former prosecutor Lindsay Richards, who is not involved in the case, said any release would probably come with stringent conditions because of the seriousness of the allegations.
She said KJ could be placed under GPS monitoring and house arrest, with the possibility of completing his education from home. Richards also suggested he could be required to attend therapy or educational programmes while awaiting further court proceedings.
“I think there’s a likelihood he’ll be released and he will have a lot of conditions of his release,” she said, adding that the teenager would likely be subject to “close, close monitoring”. A Fulton County grand jury indicted KJ on seven felony counts on 3 September. The charges include aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment and three counts of sexual battery against a child under 16. The indictment relates to an alleged incident at a Life Time Fitness facility in Alpharetta on 23 April. KJ is being held at the Metro Regional Youth Detention Centre after bond was not set following his arrest.
His lawyers have asked for him to be released, arguing that he is not a flight risk and pointing to his academic and sporting record, as well as his ties to his family and local community. A hearing was scheduled for Tuesday 8 September. ([usmagazine.com](https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/kim-zolciaks-son-kj-asks-for-bond-release-faces-50-years/?utm_source=openai))
Kim Zolciak has strongly rejected the allegations against her son, describing them as “reckless and deeply troubling”. She has said KJ categorically denies the alleged conduct and claimed that he voluntarily took and passed a polygraph examination.
The allegations have not been proved in court. KJ is presumed innocent unless and until he is convicted.
