Ariana Grande has revealed she suffered a deep cut to her foot ahead of the final two London dates of her Eternal Sunshine Tour, telling fans she would perform at The O2 in “cozy footwear” rather than her trademark heels.
The singer said the injury was minor but had left her bandaged and struggling to put weight on the affected foot. She reassured fans that she remained fit to perform at Monday’s show and the tour finale on Tuesday, September 1.
“It is not a sprain or anything muscular but just a deep cut,” Grande wrote in an Instagram update. She added that fans might see her “having a little trouble putting weight on that foot” and joked that she would be “a few inches shorter than usual”.
Concern had grown among concertgoers after the 33-year-old appeared to limp during performances earlier in her 10-night London residency. The Eternal Sunshine Tour marks Grande’s return to live performances after a six-year absence and includes shows across North America before its concluding run in London.
