TikToker Dakota Harper had his bond doubled to $20,000 in court on Monday, with home confinement added as a condition of his release. Harper had previously been ordered to post $10,000 bond. He appeared unhappy after the new conditions were announced. Harper and Felicity Eatmon were charged last week with arson and conspiracy to commit arson over allegations that they attempted to burn down an abandoned home. The pair were allegedly captured on camera starting a fire on September 27. The footage appeared to show Eatmon handing Harper a piece of paper, which was then set alight and placed inside…
Antonio Conte has signalled that his next managerial challenge could involve reviving a historic club, fuelling speculation that he may be interested in the Manchester United job as pressure grows on Michael Carrick. The Italian is currently available after leaving Napoli and has outlined his desire to work at a club that has slipped from its former standards but retains the ambition to compete for major honours. “There are many clubs that have somewhat lost sight of their history,” Conte said. “I’d like to go to one of these clubs to dust off that history and make it shine once…

Zak Butters’ proposed move from Port Adelaide to the Western Bulldogs could become the AFL’s major trade deal of the year if the Power match the Bulldogs’ free agency offer for the triple All-Australian midfielder. Michael Regan, the Bulldogs’ player acquisition and strategy manager, said a multi-club arrangement was one option being considered to satisfy Port Adelaide’s demands. The Bulldogs have made a nine-year offer worth $18 million for Butters. Should Port Adelaide match it and negotiations fail to produce an agreement, the midfielder could instead be placed in the pre-season draft. That would leave Richmond in a position to…
An attorney for one of seven men accused in an alleged sexual assault at a Cornell University fraternity house has called for Letitia James to step down as special prosecutor in the case. Andrew Miltenberg, who represents Gillio Lopes, said Ms James should recuse herself because she had previously commented on the allegations on social media. New York Governor Kathy Hochul appointed the attorney general as special prosecutor last week. Before that appointment, Ms James described what the alleged victim, referred to as Jane Doe, was “forced to endure” as “horrific and unacceptable”. She also said she was holding the…

The result gave Zinedine Zidane his first home victory in charge, three days after France drew 1-1 with Italy. His substitutes made the decisive impact, with Désiré Doué, Rayan Cherki and Michael Olise all starting on the bench. Belgium took the lead in the 35th minute, but France turned the match around during a decisive final 15 minutes. Doué levelled in the 77th minute with a left-footed strike from the…
Lucid vehicle deliveries fell 6.7% year on year in the third quarter after the electric carmaker reduced production to reflect weaker customer demand. The US company delivered 3,806 vehicles between July and September, compared with 4,078 in the same quarter last year. Production dropped to 2,954 vehicles from 3,891. Despite the quarterly decline, deliveries for the first nine months of the year were 3.4% higher than a year earlier. Production over the same period increased by 33% as Lucid expanded output earlier in the year. Lucid, which is heavily backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, produced almost 7,900 vehicles…
Rapper Too $hort has apologised for saying he would attend a welcome-home party for Sean “Diddy” Combs after the music mogul is released from prison, admitting his comments were “a little insensitive”. In a new video, Too $hort said he had not understood the full extent of the allegations when he made the remarks and had since listened, learned and read more about the issue. “I do not condone abuse in any kind of way, not emotional, not physical not sexual, and I don’t support anybody that does it,” he said. Too $hort had previously said on a podcast: “I’m…
