Members of the Tzaneros family have made a rare public appearance at a Sydney society party as creditors continue to pursue the collapsed ACFS Port Logistics empire.
Anthony Tzaneros and his wife, Poppy, were pictured at a birthday celebration for Pilates entrepreneur Bernadette Sukkar at Archie Brothers in Alexandria. They were joined by Anthony’s sister, Barbara Coombes, in a notable return to the social scene after several family members restricted access to their social-media accounts.
The gathering was held against the backdrop of mounting scrutiny surrounding ACFS Port Logistics, the family-owned freight business which entered voluntary administration and receivership on 6 August.
Anthony, who is understood to have worked as the company’s IT director, attended in a navy shirt and jeans with Gucci trainers. Poppy wore a Pucci top with denim, green heels and a Hermès Mini Kelly handbag.
Barbara opted for an oversized red top bearing the words “Barbie 08”, denim shorts and high heels. She was also seen carrying gifts and a cake box for the birthday girl.
ACFS was founded by Tzaneros patriarch Terry and his son Arthur. Arthur later resigned as chief executive after private WhatsApp messages concerning an alleged sexual assault case involving pupils at Scots College were made public.
The company’s financial difficulties have prompted a wider retreat from public life among members of the prominent Sydney family, with some relatives making their social-media profiles private.
At the party, Sukkar celebrated her 36th birthday alongside her husband, Jordan Sukkar, and a number of guests from Sydney’s business, fashion and social circles.
