Australia’s second Test against South Africa has been delayed after covers were placed over the entire square, with play originally due to begin at 7pm AEDT.
The Australians have otherwise kept faith with the batting order that secured their first-Test win in Durban. Nic Maddinson and Travis Head remain at the top, while Matthew Renshaw stays at No. 5 after his outstanding performance in the opening match.
Beau Webster also retains his place, but Scott Boland comes into the side in place of Nathan Lyon, who will not play the second Test.
Australia’s XI is Travis Head, Nic Maddinson, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Matthew Renshaw, Alex Carey, Beau Webster, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Scott Boland and Josh Hazlewood.
South Africa will line up with Aiden Markram, Marques Ackerman, David Bedingham, Temba Bavuma, Matthew Breetzke, Ryan Rickelton, Wiaan Mulder, Marco Jansen, Simon Harmer, Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje.
