Krysten Ritter has been seen in Los Angeles days after the death of her Breaking Bad co-star RJ Mitte, following her public tribute to the actor.
The 44-year-old actress was photographed out with her boyfriend, Luke Acret, after the pair had lunch on Friday. Ritter wore a black graphic T-shirt with a green A-line skirt and rubber slides.
Earlier in the week, Ritter reposted a tribute from Bryan Cranston, who played Mitte’s on-screen father, Walter White, in the acclaimed series. She wrote that learning of Mitte’s death was “beyond devastating”.
Ritter added: “I can’t begin to imagine what his family and loved ones are going through. My heart is with them, and with RJ.”
Mitte died aged 34 on Monday, October 12. His representative described him as an actor, philanthropist and disability rights advocate, while his death was reported as suicide.
Cranston said he was experiencing “deep despair” over the loss of his on-screen son and revealed that they had been planning to meet for a meal.
“I don’t know if that lunch would have changed his future,” Cranston wrote. “I do know that I loved him, and thoroughly enjoyed being with him throughout the years on the series.”
He also shared details of a suicide prevention hotline and urged people struggling with their mental health to ask for help.
Mitte appeared in 56 episodes of Breaking Bad between 2008 and 2013 as Walter “Flynn” White Jr, the son of Cranston’s character.
Ritter played Jane Margolis in the second season of the series. Her character was the landlord and love interest of Jesse Pinkman, played by Aaron Paul, and she later reprised the role in El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie.
Mitte was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when he was three and went on to campaign for actors and others working in the entertainment industry with disabilities. He also served as an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children’s.
