JMGO has launched its Iris Ultra Max 4K 120Hz projector outside China, combining a triple-laser light engine with Google TV and a motorised mount designed to make large-screen gaming and home cinema easier to set up.
The company claims the projector can produce 6,500 ISO lumens and a native contrast ratio of 10,000:1. Its name refers to a dual-iris optical system, which uses two physical apertures to control brightness and reduce stray light inside the projector.
The Iris Ultra Max is built for fast-moving content, with 4K resolution at up to 120Hz. It also supports variable refresh rate (VRR) and automatic low-latency mode (ALLM), features intended to reduce screen tearing and improve responsiveness when connected to a games console or PC.
Dolby Vision HDR is supported at 4K and 120Hz. JMGO has also fitted the unit with a 0.88–1.7:1 optical zoom, vertical lens shift of up to ±130% and horizontal shift of ±53%, allowing the image to be repositioned without relying solely on digital correction.
A motorised pan-and-tilt gimbal provides further flexibility, enabling the projector to be aimed around a room while retaining the benefits of its optical adjustments.
The Iris Ultra Max is priced at $3,499, although pre-orders are being offered at $2,999 ahead of deliveries scheduled for 19 October.
The specifications arrive as high-brightness all-in-one projectors become increasingly prominent at IFA 2026. However, potential buyers may wish to wait for independent testing: The Verge previously reported colour distortion at peak brightness on JMGO’s N3 Ultimate, another flagship model from the company.
