Bug Hall, the actor known for The Little Rascals, is seeking financial help as he prepares for the birth of his sixth child and works to settle his family on a new property in Arkansas.
The 41-year-old has launched a GoFundMe appeal, saying he needs materials for the rural property and has fallen behind on some bills. The fundraiser had raised $15,521 against an initial target of $2,000.
Hall said his family had reached the land “in record time” and were enjoying the experience despite the difficult conditions. However, he said the baby was due in less than a month and he wanted to complete the remaining work before the birth.
“My hope is to finalize everything here over the next two weeks so I can take some work until the baby arrives,” he wrote in the appeal.
He added: “Times are hard for everyone, and I’m no more deserving than anyone else, but I ask in your charity that you help where you can, whether monetarily, by sharing this, or by prayer and sacrifice for the Hall-Barnetts of the Holy Cross.”
Hall said he had avoided making such an appeal for six years after choosing to “self-cancel”. He described the request as necessary after previously deciding not to pass on what he called the “glorious burden” of his circumstances.
The fundraiser comes months after Hall was arrested in April for failing to appear in court over an October 2024 citation. The missed court appearance dated from December 2024.
Earlier this year, Hall told the Daily Mail that he had taken a “vow of poverty” and moved his family to an 80-acre property near Mountain View, Arkansas. He has described himself as a “radical Catholic extremist”.
