Diana Ross will return to Australia for a one-off concert at Sydney’s Centennial Park on March 5, 2027, her first appearance in the country for more than 20 years.
The 82-year-old singer’s Diana Ross Australia concert will take place on the eve of the Sydney Mardi Gras Parade and will be her only Australian date.
Ross last performed in Australia in 2006, when she appeared in Sydney and Melbourne. She will headline the Summertime concert series with her Freedom in Motion show.
The performer rose to international fame as the lead singer of The Supremes before establishing a hugely successful solo career spanning soul, pop and disco.
Her best-known songs include Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, I’m Coming Out, Upside Down, Stop In The Name Of Love and Chain Reaction.
Ross’s influence has extended across generations of performers, including Beyonce and Michael Jackson. She has also received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and the Presidential Medal of Freedom, presented by then-US president Barack Obama in 2016.
The Summertime series will also feature US rock bands The Strokes and Kings of Leon, while British dance duo Groove Armada will perform a DJ set.
Tickets will go on general sale on November 11, with a pre-sale beginning on November 9.
