Fears that KATSEYE's sold-out internationalcommunity visit may very well be canceled as lady party surrendering THREE members

They’re set to embark on a grueling world tour in a matter of days, but fans are now concerned that KATSEYE won’t make it to the stage.

The chart-topping girl group, who originally started out with six members, are now down to just three following a string of health woes. 

On Thursday, they announced that they were pulling out of their scheduled performance at Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields music festival after member Megan Skiendiel sprained her ankle during rehearsal.

Even before Skiendiel’s injury, KATSEYE were already down to just four members after Sophia Laforteza went on hiatus on August 7 to focus on her ‘personal health and wellness’.

Meanwhile, Manon Bannerman has also been on an extended hiatus for health reasons since February 20.

The group is now down to just three members: Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, and Yoonchae Jeung.

KATSEYE are due to start their sold-out ‘Wildworld’ arena tour on September 1, with the first show scheduled for Dublin, Ireland. 

From there they have multiple dates in London and then shows across Europe, before heading to the United States, Canada, and finally Mexico.

Fans online have already voiced their concerns on social media that the tour may now only go ahead with just three members – or worse, not at all.  

Despite the group’s health issues, Skiendiel has said that she’ll be present for the tour.

‘Yesterday I sprained my ankle during tour rehearsal and my doctors have advised me to stay off it and let it heal so I can be ready for tour,’ she said in a statement.

‘I’m heartbroken to miss Daisy Chain Fields, especially because of everything this festival stands for. I’m sending all my love to Olivia and to all of the incredible artists, non-profit organizations and volunteers who have given their time to make this day so special,’ she continued.

‘It’s going to be such an amazing day, and I can’t wait to see everyone out on tour.’ 

As for Laforteza, it’s currently unclear if she will be present for the tour or not.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the 23-year-old’s condition will be ‘reassessed’ in early September and then a decision will be made. 

In the meantime, Laforteza has been spotted by fans at Disneyland and hanging out with friends. 

Her mother Carla recently told Vogue Philippines that her daughter currently ‘goes to Disneyland every day’ and is baking, painting, and ‘doing everything to get mentally well’.

Despite their health woes and lineup issues, KATSEYE are currently more successful than ever. 

Their new EP Wild just debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 170,000 copies sold, making it the biggest US debut for a girl group since Danity Kane’s Welcome to the Dollhouse in 2008.

The five-track album has already spawned several hits on the Hot 100, including Animal, which reached No. 24, and Hootie Frutti, which just debuted at No. 31.

The Los Angeles-based girl group was formed in 2023 on the reality competition series Dream Academy.

KATSEYE’s biggest hit, Gabriela, reached number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and earned a nomination at the 2026 Grammy Awards for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

The women were also nominated in the Best New Artist category, but the award went to British solo act Olivia Dean.

Last November, the group revealed that they hired a therapist to help them navigate the spotlight and death threats.

Lara Raj told Rolling Stone, ‘I try to tell myself it doesn’t matter, but if 1,000 people are sending you death threats… even if it’s not going to happen… it’s heavy, and it’s jarring.’
