Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Crystal Palace wing-back Daniel Muñoz in a deal worth up to £22m.
The Colombia international has signed a three-year contract at the City Ground, with Forest holding an option to extend the agreement for a further season.
Muñoz will be reunited with Oliver Glasner, who left Palace to take charge of Forest earlier this summer. The 30-year-old became a key figure under the Austrian during their successful spell in south London.
Daniel Muñoz joins Nottingham Forest
Muñoz joined Palace from Belgian club Genk in January 2024 and made 109 appearances for the Eagles, scoring 11 goals. He played an important role as Palace won the FA Cup and Europa Conference League.
Palace had already begun preparing for his departure by signing Israel international Anan Khalaili from Union Saint-Gilloise. The deal represents a significant profit on Muñoz, who arrived at Selhurst Park for around £8.5m.
Forest’s move strengthens their options on the right side of the team and gives Glasner another player familiar with his preferred system. Muñoz started Palace’s opening league match of the season but was an unused substitute in their subsequent defeat by Manchester City.
The transfer was completed with the deadline approaching, as Forest continue to reshape their squad under Glasner following his arrival from Palace.
