Glen Powell has described his relationship with Michelle Randolph as “very serious” after being asked whether the couple could be heading towards an engagement.
The actor was approached by TMZ in New York on Thursday, where he was also questioned about making his romance with the Landman star public on Instagram.
Powell said the decision had not been nerve-wracking, replying: “No, it’s never nerve-wracking if you believe in it.”
Asked directly whether the relationship was serious, the Twisters star replied: “I’d say it’s very serious.” He did not disclose whether a proposal was being considered.
The comments follow months of public appearances and displays of affection between the pair, who were first linked after being seen dancing together at a honky-tonk bar in Austin, Texas, in November.
Randolph later addressed the speculation in an interview with InStyle, saying she preferred to keep her private life separate from her career.
“How people perceive you publicly is not who you are,” she said, adding that her personal life “should be personal and reserved for yourself and those who are close to you”.
Powell confirmed the relationship’s public status in July when he shared a photograph of the couple kissing as part of an Instagram carousel documenting his Fourth of July celebrations.
The actor was previously in a relationship with model Gigi Paris, which ended in April 2023. He also faced speculation about a romance with his Anyone But You co-star Sydney Sweeney, although both actors denied that they had dated.
Powell recently appeared in the sci-fi action film The Running Man and starred in Hulu’s comedy series Chad Powers, which has been renewed for a second season.
Randolph, who began acting in 2017, is known for playing Elizabeth Strafford in 1923. She currently appears as Ainsley Norris in Taylor Sheridan’s drama Landman, alongside Demi Moore, Billy Bob Thornton and Ali Larter.
