A goat milk recall has been issued in Washington state after inspectors found that Lucky Hook Farm could not provide adequate records showing the product had been properly pasteurised.
The recall affects pasteurised goat milk sold by the Moses Lake-based farm in half-gallon plastic containers. The Washington State Department of Agriculture identified the problem during a routine inspection on October 23, 2026.
Officials said the milk was sold at Marlene’s Natural Foods & Deli in Federal Way, and at Chuck’s Fresh Markets in Mill Plain and Salmon Creek.
Containers with best-before dates from October 22 to November 12, 2026 are included in the recall. The relevant date is printed on a sticker attached to the cap.
Lucky Hook Farm said it has received no reports of illness linked to the milk. However, the absence of pasteurisation records means the product could potentially have been exposed to harmful pathogens, and it is not known whether any of the recalled milk is contaminated.
Customers who bought the affected product have been advised not to drink it and to throw it away. The farm has apologised and said it will provide information about reimbursement.
Consumers with questions can contact Lucky Hook Farm LLC on 509-431-7329 between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.
