Hila Klein has accused her husband, Ethan Klein, of having an affair and said they are navigating a separation, in an emotional statement shared on Instagram.
The allegations came a day after Ethan announced that the H3 Podcast, which the couple co-host, would go on indefinite hiatus. He did not give a date for its return.
Hila Klein describes separation as ‘survival mode’
Hila, 38, said she had confronted Ethan about her concerns but that he initially dismissed them. She said he later acknowledged an affair lasting more than six months, after first describing his actions as a kiss and then as emotional cheating.
“I am living in a nightmare I can’t wake up from. My husband has been having an affair. I have been fed lie after lie after lie for months. I am tired of lies. Here is the truth,” she wrote.
Hila added: “After I dragged these lies from him, he finally admitted he’d been in an affair for over 6 months, the extent of which I’m sure I still don’t know.”
She said she was focusing on herself and the couple’s children while dealing with the separation.
“I am in survival mode, trying to navigate separation, co-parenting, and unthinkable heartbreak,” she wrote, adding that her priority was caring for herself and her children “one day at a time”.
The couple have been together for roughly two decades and built a substantial following through their YouTube channel, h3h3Productions, and the H3 Podcast. Hila is also the founder of clothing brand Teddy Fresh, while Ethan became known for commentary on internet culture, celebrity news and online controversies.
H3 Podcast crew says it will not work with Ethan Klein
The H3 Podcast team said it was “shocked, angry, and heartbroken” by Hila’s allegations and would not continue working on the show with Ethan involved.
“As soon as we found out, we all agreed: we would not continue working with Ethan involved or profiting in any way,” the crew said in a statement shared on the podcast’s official Instagram account.
The team said the future of the podcast remained uncertain, adding: “We don’t yet know what that means for the future. There’s a lot to work through, and we wish we had more answers for you.”
It also expressed support for Hila, saying: “We’re disgusted by Ethan’s actions and the hurt he has caused. We all deserved better: Hila, us, and you.”
It remains unclear whether the podcast will continue without Ethan or whether the crew will pursue another project. As of Friday morning, Ethan had not publicly addressed Hila’s allegations.
