Israel has launched strikes in southern Lebanon after Hezbollah fired two drones at Israeli troops stationed in an area the military has designated as a security zone.
The Israeli military said one of the drones was intercepted and contact with the second was lost. It reported no casualties among its soldiers.
Before the latest strikes, the military issued an evacuation warning early on Sunday to residents near a building in Arab Salim, in south Lebanon, saying the site was being used by Hezbollah and would be attacked.
There was no immediate response from the Iran-backed group to the Israeli allegations.
The escalation follows Israeli strikes on Friday, when the military said it had targeted weapon storage facilities intended for use by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
More than 4,300 people have been killed in Israeli strikes on Lebanon since March 2, according to figures cited by Lebanese authorities.
