Jameela Jamil has cancelled a sold-out live podcast show after an ongoing illness left her unable to perform.
The actress and presenter announced on Instagram that she would no longer appear at the Wrong Turns event, which was due to take place on Friday, September 11.
“I’m so sorry to do this,” Jamil wrote, explaining that she had been “really sick with a fluke bad luck thing”. She did not disclose the nature of the illness but said she needed to take time away to recover.
Jamil added: “I just have to look after myself. Gonna go away for a bit and recover. Love you. Listen to your bodies!” ([parade.com](https://parade.com/celebrities/jameela-jamil-sick-cancels-show-following-controversial-botox-comments))
She also said the decision was highly unusual, claiming she had never cancelled an appearance or booked job during her 18-year career. Jamil indicated that the live podcast show would be rescheduled once she was well enough to return.
