Kendall Jenner commanded attention on the Venice Film Festival red carpet on Thursday as she attended the premiere of Martin McDonagh’s Wild Horse Nine in a vintage Giorgio Armani gown.
The 30-year-old model arrived ahead of the evening screening in a dress from Armani’s 1995 collection, choosing the classic design over a more contemporary look. She stopped to sign autographs and greet fans before posing for photographers.
Jenner, who is attending the festival as an ambassador for Armani Beauty, completed the ensemble with diamond jewellery by Briony Raymond.
Her appearance came as Wild Horse Nine received its world premiere in competition for the Golden Lion. The official festival programme lists the 118-minute film as a UK, US and Chilean production, with John Malkovich, Sam Rockwell, Steve Buscemi and Parker Posey among the cast. The film is set shortly before Chile’s 1973 military coup and follows CIA agents Chris and Lee, who are sent from Santiago to Easter Island by their bureau chief, MJ.
As the pair confront their troubled pasts and a series of conspiracies among the island’s famous statues, Chris forms an unexpected connection with two rebellious students. The film marks McDonagh’s return to directing after The Banshees of Inisherin.
Wild Horse Nine was scheduled for two public screenings in Venice on Thursday evening, at 7.30pm in the Sala Grande and 8pm at the PalaBiennale, according to La Biennale di Venezia. Stella Maxwell also brought high-impact glamour to the premiere, arriving in a sheer black lace gown. The backless dress was covered in matching sequins and finished with a flowing fishtail skirt.
Neither Jenner nor Maxwell has a role in McDonagh’s film, but both made the most of the high-profile occasion as the festival’s second day drew a star-studded crowd.
Jenner is expected to attend further Armani events in Venice over the coming days. She is unlikely, however, to be joined by her reported boyfriend, Jacob Elordi, who is not expected at this year’s festival.
The pair went public with their relationship in April after being seen kissing at an after-party following Justin Bieber’s Coachella performance. They were reportedly introduced by Jenner’s younger sister Kylie.
In the months since, Jenner and Elordi have been seen together in destinations including Hawaii, Japan, London, Hollywood and Australia. They also attracted attention on TikTok after being filmed holding hands in Tokyo.
The Venice Film Festival runs until 12 September, with Wild Horse Nine due to receive a theatrical release on 6 November. ([static.labiennale.org](https://static.labiennale.org/files/cinema/2026/Documenti/regulations-83.pdf?utm_source=openai))
