Kris Jenner has turned to the growing longevity and wellness trend in an effort to combat hair thinning, crediting peptide supplements with making her hair appear fuller and stronger.
The 70-year-old Kardashian-Jenner matriarch has been using OMI Hair Growth Peptides, a supplement brand in which she and her daughter Khloé Kardashian have reportedly invested. Jenner has discussed the treatment on social media and in interviews, presenting it as part of her daily approach to maintaining her hair.
She previously said that her colourist, Tracey Cunningham, noticed her hair was beginning to thin and recommended the product. Jenner said she began taking two gummies a day and later noticed that her hair felt fuller, adding that she no longer needed extensions except for elaborate hairstyles.
“Everything started feeling fuller — no extensions necessary,” Jenner said in a video shared online, describing the change as “fabulous”.
In another post, she said: “Being proactive completely changed my relationship with my hair, and OMI became part of my routine long before it became a bigger concern.”
The supplement is marketed as an inside-out approach to hair care, using peptides alongside ingredients including biotin, vitamins and other nutrients intended to support the hair-growth cycle. The company says its formula is designed to strengthen and anchor hair at the follicle.
Dermatologists have cautioned that peptide products should not be treated as a guaranteed solution for hair loss. Their effectiveness can vary according to the formulation and the cause of thinning, while factors including ageing, hormonal changes, illness and stress can also affect hair density.
Jenner’s endorsement places hair peptides alongside the wider longevity movement, which has increasingly brought supplements and other treatments aimed at supporting long-term health into mainstream beauty routines.
