Kyle Sandilands launched into a lengthy tirade during Monday’s edition of his new radio show after a technical problem disrupted the broadcast.
The Australian broadcaster’s programme, Kyle Sandilands Live, was affected by an issue in the studio, prompting an on-air outburst as the team attempted to resolve the fault.
Sandilands appeared to direct his frustration towards producer Jaimee “Mayo” Blazquez while the broadcast continued, adding to the rocky start suffered by the subscription-based show since its launch.
The programme began airing earlier this month following the collapse of Sandilands’ long-running partnership with Jackie “O” Henderson on KIIS FM.
That dispute led to legal action involving Sandilands, Henderson and KIIS owner ARN Media. Sandilands later reached a reported A$12 million settlement with the network over the termination of his contract, while Henderson is pursuing her own claim.
The new show has already encountered several technical difficulties, including audio problems and interruptions to its online feed. Producers were previously forced to apologise after an episode was taken off air during its first week.
Despite Monday’s disruption, Sandilands continued with the programme after the technical issue had been addressed.
