Kylie and Dannii Minogue have recreated a playful family photograph taken in Paris in 1988, striking the same pose beneath the Eiffel Tower almost four decades later.
The sisters shared a video of the moment on Instagram, with Kylie, 58, introducing the challenge as they stood in front of the famous landmark.
“Okay, we’re here in Paris by the iconic Eiffel Tower and we’re gonna attempt to recreate an iconic photograph from 1988,” Kylie said, before asking her sister: “Can you do it?”
Dannii, 54, admitted she was unsure whether she could reproduce her expression from the original image.
“My goodness, I don’t even know if I can pull this face anymore but let’s try,” she said, prompting Kylie to reassure her: “Of course you can!”
The 1988 photograph showed Kylie in a distinctly 1980s double-denim outfit and the blonde perm associated with her breakthrough role as Charlene Robinson in Neighbours. Dannii wore white and had her hair pulled high with a scrunchie.
For the modern recreation, the pair opted for more polished looks. Kylie wore jeans with a cream jacket, while Dannii appeared in an elegant black outfit.
After counting them in, Kylie and Dannii copied the original pose and expression before laughing together.
Kylie captioned the post: “Sisters in Paris and just HAD to recreate this vintage family pic. One frame then. One frame now!!! Nailed it!! LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!”
The Paris trip comes as Kylie features on the cover of the September issue of Australian Vogue, where she discussed her career and recalled meeting fellow Australian star Margot Robbie in Los Angeles before the actress became an international household name.
