A 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a 48-year-old man was allegedly assaulted during an armed robbery in Beenleigh, south of Brisbane.
Queensland Police said the alleged victim was in his vehicle in a car park on Boundary Street at about 11pm on Thursday, August 27, when he was attacked.
His car keys and cash were allegedly taken before the offender fled. Police from Springwood, assisted by the Logan District Dog Squad, arrested a man a short time later on nearby Beverley Street.
Officers allege the man was carrying a knife and a quantity of ammunition when he was detained.
The 48-year-old was taken to Logan Hospital with a minor injury.
The accused has been charged with armed robbery, assault occasioning bodily harm, wilful damage, attempting to enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence, possession of a knife in a public place and authority to possess explosives.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on October 21.
