A 44-year-old man has been critically injured after a gunman riding a moped opened fire in Chicago’s Little Village neighbourhood late on Saturday night.
Chicago Police Department officers were called to the 3100 block of South Kolin Avenue at about 11.12pm, where they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
Police said the man had been standing outside when the suspect approached on a dark-coloured moped and fired before fleeing in an unknown direction.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he remained in critical condition. Area detectives are investigating and no arrest has been announced.
